1. Information we collect
- Account data: Email address from Google Sign-In and optional name. Used only for authentication and account management. Not displayed publicly.
- Public identity: A randomly generated anonymous username is assigned to every user (e.g.
Smart_Local_Hero_42). - Location data: Live device location (latitude/longitude) is used only at request time to show nearby results based on selected radius. It is not permanently stored.
- Vendor data: Business mobile number (OTP verified) and business details such as name, category, address, and description.
- KYV verification (vendors only): Government ID verification including Aadhaar QR-based verification may be used for admin review purposes. This data is not publicly displayed.
- Platform activity: Searches, interactions, QR check-ins, votes, comments, and reports linked to your anonymous identity.
2. Information we do not collect
- User phone numbers (users sign in via Google only).
- Bank account, UPI, or payment details (we do not process payments).
- Third-party ad network tracking cookies for advertising purposes.
3. How we use information
We use collected information to operate the platform, show nearby services, improve search relevance, prevent spam and fraud, manage vendor verification, and maintain platform security.
4. Data storage and security
Data is stored using secure cloud infrastructure (including PostgreSQL and Redis). Vendor verification documents are accessible only to authorized admins and are not publicly visible.
5. Data retention and deletion
We retain data only as long as required to operate the service and comply with legal obligations. Users may request account or data deletion at any time. Vendor deletion requests will also remove associated verification data within a reasonable timeframe.
6. Cookies
We use a secure session cookie (tl_session) to maintain login sessions. No third-party advertising cookies are used.
7. Third-party services
We may use third-party services such as Google Sign-In, hosting providers, and analytics tools to operate and improve the platform. These services have their own privacy policies.
